Why Charlottesville Virginia For Retirement?
Below are links to welcome you to Charlottesville and Central Virginia facts to help you decide about a possible Charlottesville retirement. You’ll find school links, restaurants and golf courses, and much more area information.
I have a friend from the Midwest whose journey is typical of many of my real estate clients. When she and her husband were anticipating their retirement years, they always assumed they would move to the South or SouthEast for those years. They told me that in their minds they had targeted North Carolina. I asked why. They gave me the usual criteria… climate, culture, history etc.
After they replied, I couldn’t help but ask them why they had not investigated Charlottesville or the Central Virginia area for retirement. Her answer: tell us why we would want Central Virginia for retirement? Perfect. That’s a question I’ve been prepared to answer for decades.
But why should I give my explanation only to my friends? Why not just dedicate this page to anybody who might be considering retirement … a “pre-tiree” if you will. Let me give you the resources to see if Charlottesville and Central VA are a good fit for your own retirement. Those of us who already live in Central VA used to consider our good fortune a sort of “well kept secret” but that has changed as more Boomers have discovered our perfect retirement location.
